Julia Pritchard
My name is Julia Pritchard and I am an authorised marriage celebrant located in Brisbane, Queensland. I am the daughter of two incredible parents, sister of a loving brother, wife of a doting husband, and proud mother of a little boy.
A friendly, relaxed, and organised vibe is what I bring to the table. But I’m also a hype person and know how to read a room! I genuinely love meeting and connecting with people, and am a strong advocate of community and connection - hence choosing to be involved in this industry!
When I’m not performing in my role as a celebrant, or undertaking motherly duties, I work as a historian and senior consultant in the cultural heritage sector. I’m also someone with too many hobbies! I love love love to craft and make things, which goes hand-in-hand with my enthusiasm to host elaborate events and parties. I’m not bad in the kitchen either - my Italian heritage demands it of me! My husband and I are hobby photographers as well, so you’ll often see us exploring in our campervan, looking for a fun location to shoot.
My biggest strength is being a people person. I’m often the person who people confide in, the person people trust with important information or tasks, and I’ve been in managerial and leadership roles since the age of 12, so I know how to work with lots of different people.
I see immense value in celebrations and storytelling, which is why I feel so passionately about my role in helping people celebrate their milestone moments. No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your vibe is, I’m certain I can help create something meaningful.
Regardless of what your celebration is, whether a big event or something small and intimate, I am here to ensure that the event and ceremony reflects YOU and your partner or family. There are no rules to celebrations, no right or wrong way to do something, there is only what feels right. This is why I am committed to ensuring that each ceremony is customised and memorable!
I specialise in weddings, mother’s blessings, and baby naming ceremonies. However, I’m available for any type of ceremony needs whether it be anniversaries, graduations, or even funerals.

Organising a celebration, particularly weddings, are notoriously renowned for being stressful and overwhelming. When it comes to the ceremony, this is the big moment, the significant step, and so the pressure to ‘get it right’ can often take the fun out of things. We don’t want that!
This is where I come in. I know the drill, what needs to be done, who needs to say what and when, how things should progress, and I’ll handle all the legal requirements. I’m also full of brilliant ideas (at least I think so) of how to create a ceremony that is unique and truly reflects you. If you want to be extra, we can be extra. If you want simplicity, we can keep things relaxed. If you don’t know what you want, then that’s ok! I’m here to help.
Now if a reflection of you happens to be disco balls and rollerskates, or perhaps it’s a bohemian affair, or even something whimsical and fantastical, I’m down for anything! From black tie to Hawaiian shirts, I can dress up, or dress down.
My ability to craft a ceremony that is tailored to you, your personality, and your wishes, comes from my genuine enjoyment in getting to know people. I’m a great listener and will find ways to incorporate your ideas (no matter how big or small). I’ll also make helpful suggestions that I think works for you.
While I bring a bubbly and fun energy to the room, I’m a working professional with years of leadership and organisational experience, so you know I take my work seriously and with sophistication.
I offer an initial free, no obligation consultation for all celebrations, either in-person, online, or over the phone. This way you can meet me, get a sense of who I am, and can decide whether I fit the vibe. It’s your special moment, so making sure you have the right celebrant, someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, is essential!
